Our Mission
Mind Swimmer is a young literary magazine attempting to bring story-telling and psychology together. Every writer's greatest tool is their own mind. We believe psychology serves us in everything we do; it brings to life all the stories we create. We promote mental wellness, but we also understand mental illness. This journal strives to help readers understand each other's mind and their own. We encourage your mind to spill out onto the pages and swim.
Julia Smarelli is a recent alumna from Ohio University, with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing and a Minor in Psychology. She hails from Cincinnati, but is excited to move to London, Ohio. She is passionate about writing, mental health, and her very fluffy cat, Nala. She looks forward to the day when she becomes an editor for a publishing house!
